Putuka Manifesto!!!

| Who we are and why we do what we do...

Putuka is not a commercial brand; it’s an artistic project that champions fashion as a means of artistic and social expression. Our clothes send out messages that break taboos, appropriateness and established conventions.

For Putuka an article of clothing is not complete until you wear it. When you put it on, you add new meanings to it that stem from your own self. Every person wearing a Putuka is a different and unique happening.

Putuka borrows from significance and resolutions offered up by art and popular culture, in order to reformulate these in another context and language, fashion’s, thus creating a new and unquestionably new work.

Putuka’s intention is not to produce brand or style, but identity.

Clothes created by Putuka respond to the authors’ necessity to subvert the conventional and to make it special and different. At Putuka we don’t intend to upset, but we do in spite of that. Nevertheless, we don’t consider this aspect very important. We also don’t mind whether we offend.

Putuka does not apologize or acknowledge any responsibilities.

Putuka uses clothing to reflect ideas, concepts and contradictions that encircle our everyday lives. This is done from an indifferent, aggressive, modern and sexy point of view.

Putuka is young and against motionless concepts. Putuka doesn’t change the world, but it reflects it’s ambiguities through an attitude. We judge and will be judged.

Putuka is on the street and not in art gallery. Here’s your chance to acquire a piece of prêt-a-porter art.
